Steps Destination Challenges for CarePlus Members
In 2025, you can earn points toward CarePlus Rewards by participating in steps destination challenges. Use Sharecare to participate virtually from anywhere, and track your progress to unlock interesting facts about various landmarks as you work to maintain or improve your fitness and well-being.

Steps Destination Challenge Schedule

There is a steps destination challenge available in Sharecare at any time throughout the year. To earn 50 points for a steps destination challenge, just log any number of steps for at least two days during the challenge. Please note there are other healthy habit challenges available in Sharecare that do not count toward rewards.

  • Jan. 1 through March 31

    New York City

    Log at least 40,000 steps from January through March. One way to reach the 40,000-step goal is by walking at least 2,000 steps a day for 20 days during the challenge.

  • April 1 through June 30

    Barcelona, Spain

    Log at least 50,000 steps from April through June. One way to reach the 50,000-step goal is by walking at least 2,500 steps a day for 20 days during the challenge.

  • July 1 through Sept. 30

    Florida Keys

    Log at least 245,000 steps from July through September. One way to reach the 245,000-step goal is by walking at least 3,500 steps a day for 70 days during the challenge.

  • Oct. 1 through Dec. 31

    Coastline of Australia

    Log at least 350,000 steps from July through September. One way to reach the 245,000-step goal is by walking at least 4,000 steps a day for 70 days during the challenge.

How do I log steps to participate?

Automatic Tracking Manual Tracking Activities that Count

Sync directly with your wearable device or your smartphone’s health app to allow for seamless, automatic input of your steps data.

In Sharecare, select Track, then select Steps to record the number of steps you’ve taken. Use the following steps conversion chart to convert your activities into steps. If you forget to track your steps for a day, you can track up to one week of missed steps, up to 7 days after the challenge ends.

 

Walking is just one way to count steps. You can convert almost any activity into steps – like swimming, gardening, vacuuming, playing with grandkids, or taking a SilverSneakers® exercise class.
