Choosing a plan
We recommend researching available plan options before choosing a plan. Make sure you choose a plan that:
- Is available in your area – Use our
Plan Finder tool to make sure CarePlus is available in your area. - Is accepted by your healthcare providers – Ask your current healthcare providers (or any provider you may want to use) if they are part of the CarePlus network. You also can use our
searchable directory to find in-network providers. - Covers the drugs you take – View our
Prescription Drug Guides to see which medications CarePlus covers. - Accepts your pharmacy – To learn which pharmacies are in the CarePlus network, view our
Pharmacy Finder Tool or call Member Services at1-800-794-5907 (TTY: 711). From October 1 - March 31, we are open 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. From April 1 - September 30, we are open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may always leave a voicemail after hours, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays and we will return your call within one business day. - Has a favorable star rating from Medicare – Seek out a plan with a high rating! Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. Plans with a 4-star rating or higher may offer better coverage and benefits, better quality of care, and better customer service. CarePlus has a 4-star rating.
